White Sabers Celebrate 2019 at Awards Banquet

The White Sabers celebrated their 2019 season with their annual banquet on November 30th at the Main Place Banquet & Conference Center in Hornell, NY.  The annual banquet consisted of awards from the season, announcements of the administration, design team and staff as well as the show concept for the 2020 season!  There were plenty of achievements for the 2019 season including; the White Sabers hosting their second successful show in Milton, Pa, fielding our most entertaining show to date (Becoming Bond was a clear crowd favorite!), taking home DCA’s Showmanship award for the Trombone Quartet(shout out to Dylan Aird, Jake Everett, Matt Legare and Nick Welch!), and of course […]

Meet the Visual Caption Head!

The White Sabers are very excited to announce that Joe Wormworth, Jr. has been elevated to the position of Visual Caption Head for the 2020 season!  Joe came on board with the White Sabers in 2018 and has risen through the ranks on the visual staff to caption head.  We look forward to what Joe brings to the table in 2020! Meet the Brass Caption Head!

The White Sabers are excited to announce that Randall Bennett will take on the role of Brass Caption Head for the 2020 season! Randall has spent the past two seasons working with the brass section at White Sabers and was elevated to Assistant Brass Caption Head in 2019.  We look forward to seeing where horn line goes under his leadership! Randall is a tuba player from Syracuse, NY. He has an Associate’s degree in music from Onondaga Community College, and a Bachelor’s degree in music education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. The goal of any marching organization is to promote personal growth within their membership, which makes our next announcement even more special. To gain a member following their DCI age out, climbing the ranks of your corps; from guard member to staff member is incredible personal growth. The White Sabers are extremely excited to announce their Show Coordinator for the 2020 season, John McFarland!  John has already demonstrated a vast amount of creativity and leadership with the team! John’s has a great amount of experience both in performance and in the Marching Arts; which include the Kiwanis Kavaliers, Santa Clara Vanguard, Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps and most recently Legends Drum and Bugle Corps.
