The White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps is dedicated to providing a variety of opportunities to engage our community both locally, and across the North East region. Our goal is not only to share our passion of the marching arts, but to also engage community members in an organization that allows them to grow as musicians, build lifetime bonds with our Sabers family, and transcend barriers of language and culture through the art of performance/music. Music is scientifically proven to enhance and stimulate our brains, and increase abilities in the STEM focuses. We provide a place for youth (and adults) to safely explore their musical and color guard creativity, while also helping keep them engaged in a positive recreational activity.

The White Sabers continue to provide specialized clinics, mainly for High School bands. Our clinics bring together students and corps members allowing for the students to learn from the White Saber’s Caption Heads, and marching members. Students receive direction on improving their overall musical and technical skills, as well as enjoy the comradery of joining the White Sabers in playing! The corps members model valuable life skills such as dedication, team work, perseverance, and commitment to something larger than self. Many times, following the clinic, the Sabers and high school group join forces to provide a community concert! In 2019, the Sabers joined forces with Williamsport’s Marching Millionaires for the opening parade of the
Little League World Series, in Williamsport, PA! The Sabers also combined with the Pembroke Dragons, and Rochester public schools at the 6th Annual Drum Corps Invitational in Pembroke, NY.

Some of the youth bands that the Sabers have worked with in the past (or on-going) include: Arkport Central School District, Williamsport Marching Millionaires, Pembroke Central Schools, and Rochester Area Public School District. We are looking forward to working with the Vestal
Central School District, and more, in 2021!

Clinics have the potential to be full corps (including all sections) or smaller sectionals (percussion, brass, guard, etc.)

If your marching band, concert band, color guard, youth group, or other arts organization would like to set up a Saber’s clinic, please contact corps director, Ben Chaffee, at
