White Sabers Rebrand Ahead of 2023 Season

2022 was an important year in both White Sabers and Drum Corps Associates history.

For the White Sabers, The Corps officially relocated from Dansville, NY to the Rochester suburb of Gates, NY. And for DCA, the circuit announced a divisional expansion to their competitive structure with the addition of a World Class — a full-field competitive division with corps typically between 86 and 128 members. The White Sabers elected to compete in World Class, joining the Bushwackers, Reading Buccaneers, and Hawthorne Caballeros.

“With the creation of a third division, we hope to allow corps of all sizes the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. Creating accessible performance opportunities is a high priority for DCA, and we hope our three divisions will open doors for all of our participating drum corps,” said President John Carr.

After debuting a new uniform look and putting down roots in a new location, the time was ripe to usher in a full brand overhaul.

“It was important to us to maintain our heritage while modernizing our look to reflect our contemporary culture and creative view looking forward,” said Corps Director Ben Chaffee.

Our symbol, the crossing sabers, means “to the ready” or” aways prepared.” We maintain that spirit in all we do, and our new White Sabers typeface utilizes a crossing W. This iconic treatment is a nod to our name, symbol, and spirit of always being to the ready.

White Sabers have continued to make great strides within the marching arts community. Now that we have relocated to one of the most prominent cities in DCA history, we are excited to continue moving forward with a new modern look.
