This past weekend we traveled to Bridgeport, CT to compete in the Barnum Festival, our second competition of the young season. After a GREAT day of rehearsal in Seaside Park, we headed off to Bridgeport’s Kennedy Stadium for the event. After a bit of a weather delay, we went out and had an awesome performance with a score of 72.4 and placed second to the Caballeros, who finished with a score of 76.150. Placing 3rd with a score of 69.7 was the Connecticut Hurricanes, 4th with a score of 69.050 was Fusion Core, and 5th with a score of 61.250 was the Sunrisers. We are extremely excited with this result because we have yet to put the whole show on the field visually, and, we have a ton of visual and musical enhancements waiting in the wings to really bring this show home.
Next competition will be this Saturday, July 6th, in Landisville, PA for the Reading Buccaneers show “The Classic.” Also competing at this show will be the Skyliners, Bushwackers, Atlanta CV and the host corps, the Reading Buccaneers. We hope you will make plans to join us in Landisville this Saturday as this year’s show, “Becoming Bond”, is one you do not want to miss!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS…Saturday, July 13th we will be performing in Hornell, NY at the Maple City Sound event being held at Maple City Park. Also performing on this evening will be: The Burlington Teen Tour Band, Brigs Juice, The Hitmen, Mighty St. Joes, The Hamburg Kingsmen and the State Champion Hornell Intermediate School Drumline.
