The White Sabers celebrated their 2019 season with their annual banquet on November 30th at the Main Place Banquet & Conference Center in Hornell, NY. The annual banquet consisted of awards from the season, announcements of the administration, design team and staff as well as the show concept for the 2020 season! There were plenty of achievements for the 2019 season including; the White Sabers hosting their second successful show in Milton, Pa, fielding our most entertaining show to date (Becoming Bond was a clear crowd favorite!), taking home DCA’s Showmanship award for the Trombone Quartet(shout out to Dylan Aird, Jake Everett, Matt Legare and Nick Welch!), and of course the White Sabers 4th place finish at DCA Finals in Williamsport, Pa – the Corps highest placement yet!

Hall of Fame Induction
In the town hall in Dansville, NY there rests a plaque on the wall recognizing the great folks who have contributed in significant ways to the White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps. Since the corps inception in 1928 there have been nine people enshrined in the Dansville White Sabers Hall of Fame. The last three that were inducted over the last two years were Mark Gerber, Robert Zazzarra and Leslie Amico. This year the White Sabers would like to introduce one more person into the White Sabers Hall of Fame! This person has been a long time performer, staff member and supporter for the drum corps for more than four decades! This person was a soprano and trumpet soloist, up through our Class A Championship seasons, brass arranger during the parade corps era and has been supporting the White Sabers every single Thursday at bingo for the last almost two decades! Inducted into the White Sabers Hall of Fame for 2019 is Mr Bob Rex!
