On Saturday May, 16th the White Sabers held their first Virtual Camp online! It was a huge success. They had nearly 60 registered participants throughout the day which started with a full corps zoom meeting where Ben Chaffee, Corps Director, addressed the corps and gave them important information. The Cash Raffle that was started in January will continue until August and the drawing will be held on August 16th. Hopefully with a get together if it is safe to do so!
The virtual camp continued with Master Classes for about 45 minutes for each section hosted by the caption heads. The membership found the experience engaging and informative. The next two hours consisted of an opportunity for individual lessons which several members took advantage of to learn and grow. The White Sabers ended the virtual camp with a wrap up session that feature White Sabers Trivia hosted by Becky Fox with Kahoot! The feedback from the day has been unanimously positive with some additions on the way for the next virtual camp. The best part of this experience was connecting with everyone in the White Sabers family and taking part in something uniquely drum corps!
